This upcoming GMJ Workshop event online for 2026, Season 14, is on Australia Immigration. This is the next in a series of special Global Mobility events held online where we put a GMJ Supplier in the question hot seat and take questions from the GMJ Ambassadors, (HR Global Mobility Professionals members of Global Mobility Journeys GMJ) and Global Mobility HR Guests.
With no visa free provision and just over 110 visa subclass, Australia’s migration programme can be seen as difficult and prescriptive by many global entities. The government fees can be high and compliance rigid but the benefits can often out way the perceived barriers. Children can attend school and partners have full work rights. Working with a fully online platform, there are no visits to a local Embassy and you don’t need to send passports anywhere. We will explore business visas, short term work visas and long-term work visas. How your assignees fit into the Australian visa programme will be discussed along with time frames and how to manage expectations. In this GMJ Workshop will shall explore some of these challenges and opportunities through the medium of answers to questions of delegates thanks to the experts from Visa Executive (Australia).

With more than 20 years’ experience in immigration, Amanda is a tenacious and values-driven company owner who models a consultative client service approach. Amanda began her career with the Department of Immigration at the Australian High Commission in London, then progressed to various research and consulting roles focused on business migration, immigration law, and global relocation services. She’s a registered migration agent, has a Bachelor of Arts, and has received several industry plaudits over her career.
